Partially completed in 2002, MFO-Park is built on the former engine factory “Machinefabrik Oelikon,” where its name derives. The project was designed by Burckhardt + Partner & Raderschall Landschaftarchitekten AG in an international competition. Within the park is a large “Park-Haus,” a double walled trellis open on 3 sides that are reminiscent of ancient garden design and its covered with plants. The park includes open air movies, theatre, concerts and other activities.

Designed by Dipol Landscape Architects, Basel/Christopher T. Hunziker & Hans Moser and opened in June of 2005, Wahlenpark was the last addition to the overall redevelopment “Zentrum Zurich Nord.”
